Immunisations – Babies and Children

It is very important that your child receives a full course of injections against several diseases; please contact the Practice for further information regarding the national childhood immunisation schedule.

If your child has missed any of these immunisations, or started them late, don’t worry. Your doctor will tell you how to fit them in so that your child is fully protected.

Please make every effort to attend the surgery for these injections.

Immunisations – Adults

Any women who may be thinking of having children should consider having a blood test to check that they are still protected against German measles (Rubella). Anyone planning holidays abroad should check with us well before they are due to travel so that we can make sure that any necessary vaccinations are completed in time.

If you have any questions about vaccinations it is better to ask the doctors for advice.

Flu and Pneumonia Vaccinations

An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes, residents of nursing and rest homes and patients aged over 65 years.

The pneumococcal (pneumonia) vaccine is also recommended for patients over 65.

Please contact reception at the beginning of October for details of flu vaccination dates. Pneumococcal vaccines are given throughout the year.

Covid 19 Vaccinations

Our practice is carrying out Covid 19 Vaccinations in line with government guidelines.  If you would like to receive your free Covid vaccination whether it may be your 1st, 2nd, 3rd or booster, please contact our reception to book into one of our vaccination clinics.
